Tama High-Pitch 4-Piece Octoban Set with Stand

For decades, the distinctive sound of Tama Octobans has been the driving force behind some of the most iconic progressive rock tracks you know and love. Featured prominently in the music of Toto, The Police, Primus, and Dream Theater, these unique drums have carved out their place as an essential tool for forward–thinking percussionists.

The Tama Octoban 7850N4H High Pitch Set represents one of TAMA’s original instrument innovations, trusted by legendary drummers including Billy Cobham, Simon Phillips, Stewart Copeland, Bill Bruford, Mike Portnoy, and Tim Alexander. Rather than varying drum diameters to achieve different tones, each Octoban creates its distinct pitch through the length of its shell, offering a melodic tuning capability that sets it apart from traditional percussion.

This high–pitch 4–piece set features 6" diameter shells in jet black finish and includes a purpose–built stand for immediate setup. The Octoban’s unique design allows for precise melodic tuning, making it an invaluable addition to any progressive drummer’s kit who seeks that unmistakable sound heard on countless classic recordings.
