The Tama HH55F The Classic Hi‐Hat Stand brings the iconic style of 1960s vintage hi‐hat stands into the modern era with remarkable engineering improvements. This isn't simply a reproduction of old designs, but rather a sophisticated fusion of classic aesthetics with contemporary strength, adjustability, and reliability. The stand's compact folding design and lightweight construction make it exceptionally portable for gigging musicians.
Built with single braced flat base tripod legs, this hi‐hat stand maintains a sleek profile while remaining easy to transport. The newly designed classic style footboard combines lightweight construction with a smooth surface that accommodates any drumming style. Both spring tension and footboard angle can be individually adjusted using a drum key ‐ spring tension is modified by loosening square head bolt A and moving the footboard up and down, while footboard angle adjustment involves loosening square head bolt B and sliding the center pipe to the desired position.
The stand incorporates several innovative features including knurling on the base pipe (US.PAT.NO.10235979) that prevents the T‐bolt from slipping ‐ a common issue with flat base hi‐hat stands. A die‐cast pipe joint with memory lock provides secure attachment by gripping the tube with a metal plate held by the T‐bolt, preventing unwanted rotation or sliding. For convenient storage and transport, the radius rod can be easily hooked to protrusions on the bottom of the footboard.
