After two decades of legendary performance, the Iron Cobra has redefined what drummers expect from their kick pedal through relentless innovation and precision engineering. This iconic pedal earned its reputation by seamlessly balancing the artistic and technical demands of modern drumming, with smooth operation and exceptional responsiveness remaining core characteristics since its original launch.

TAMA's latest Iron Cobra incorporates several breakthrough improvements that address common drummer frustrations. The new Cobra Coil system revolutionises beater stroke adjustment by adding a steel return spring that maintains constant footboard positioning, eliminating the heavy, sluggish feel that traditionally came with spring tension adjustments. Meanwhile, the redesigned sprocket weighs 40% less than previous versions, resulting in faster and more fluid performance.

Stability and control receive equal attention in this updated design. Left-side double pedals benefit from a specialised stabiliser mounted to the outside frame, working alongside floor anchor bolts to prevent unwanted movement during intense playing. The signature Power Glide cam retains its offset shape to boost beater power and speed at the stroke's end, while the new beater head features a smaller diameter with increased thickness for enhanced attack and improved control during rapid passages.
