The Compadre redefines what your amplifier can achieve through its sophisticated Class A JFET input circuit and studio-grade analog processing. This pedal combines professional-quality analog compression with musically voiced boost circuits, creating the sonic equivalent of having a world-class boutique amp designer modify your rig. The intuitive design features auto makeup gain and auto threshold, meaning you simply turn up the Compression knob to dial in your desired amount without getting bogged down in complex settings.
Two distinct compression modes give you complete tonal flexibility for any musical situation. Studio mode provides the smooth, transparent compression found in premium vintage studio rack units, while Squeeze mode offers the harder compression characteristic of classic guitar pedals with maximum sustain. Each mode has been carefully voiced to sound exceptional across a wide variety of musical settings and playing styles.
The dual analog boost circuits include both clean and dirty options, with the dirty boost introducing soft clipping reminiscent of quality overdrive pedals. Selectable boost EQ options let you add treble sparkle, midrange warmth, or full-frequency enhancement to perfectly complement any guitar and amp combination. For modern pedalboard integration, MIDI connectivity allows storage and recall of up to 300 presets, accessible via a MIDI EXP cable connected to the FAV/MIDI jack.
