Strandberg Boden J Artisan Electric Guitar inc Gig Bag (Natural w/ Green Resin)

The relationship between .strandberg* Guitars and Japanese instrument craftsmanship goes back many years and has resulted in innovative and celebrated instruments of the highest quality since the very beginning. Even so, the possibility of acquiring such an instrument has often been limited, which is why the J Artisan line of guitars was introduced in early 2024. The collaboration between Japanese master builder Nick “Sugi” Sugimoto and .strandberg* Guitars constitutes an extraordinary union of contemporary design and traditional craftsmanship, with instruments offering an equally extraordinary experience of feel, sound, and appearance.

The J Artisan instruments are built using different woods with every generation for a specialised sound character built into every guitar. Exquisite pieces of wood like Honduran Mahogany, Swamp Ash, Wenge, Purple Heart, and Ebony are combined with the durable and resonant .strandberg* EGS Rev7 hardware, and American-made pickups of the highest order to create instruments with unobstructed resonance and tonal fidelity. The sound of a J Artisan guitar is the sound of a meticulously handmade instrument and an experience to be remembered.

The heart of all .strandberg* instruments lie in their ergonomically designed bodies that ensure low weight, perfect balance, and support for multiple playing positions, combined with the patented trapezoidal EndurNeck neck profile that guides the fretting hand into a more relaxed and efficient playing position. The J Artisan series takes these signature .strandberg* features and enhances them with a combination of master craftsmanship and the natural beauty of wood.
