The Expansion Rack transforms your Phonitor 2 or SMC 7.1 into a professional rackmount solution whilst dramatically expanding your monitoring capabilities from one to four active speaker connections. This versatile unit provides seamless 19-inch rack installation for both devices using identical mounting procedures, making it perfect for studio environments where space and organisation are paramount.

At the heart of the Expansion Rack sits a high-quality rotary switch that passively routes your stereo output signal to four separate stereo outputs without any active electronics or power supply requirements in the signal path. This passive design ensures your audio signal remains pristine whilst adding three additional stereo outputs to your Phonitor 2 or SMC 7.1, allowing you to connect multiple monitor types such as full range, midfield and nearfield speakers simultaneously.

The unit’s flexible design accommodates various setup preferences - the rack ears can be completely removed for freestanding desktop use, and the original Phonitor 2 feet can be mounted underneath the Expansion Rack for added stability. This adaptability makes it suitable for both permanent rack installations and portable studio configurations.
