Professional audio monitoring gets a serious upgrade with the 2Control, a compact monitor controller that bridges the gap between headphone and speaker playback with remarkable precision. This high-quality control device manages near-field and full-range monitors alongside headphone monitoring for two listeners, all housed in one central unit. The 2Control connects two sources, two stereo speaker sets and two headphones, with each of the three speaker outputs driven by its own balancing stage and separate amplifiers powering each headphone output for completely independent operation.
Most D/A converters and sound cards lack analog monitoring level control, instead reducing bit rate which compromises audio quality. The 2Control shines when paired with modern production software like ProTools™, Nuendo™, Cubase™, Logic™ and Deck™, handling monitor levels and source management independently of your software with virtually no quality loss. You won’t need to worry about over or underdriving converters when adjusting monitor levels, maintaining pristine signal integrity throughout your workflow.
Volume control utilises a premium ALPS RK27 “Big Blue” potentiometer paired with active electronics, ensuring impedances remain stable across all level changes - something passive circuits cannot achieve. The standout Crossfeed control, derived from the high-end Phonitor headphone amplifier, corrects the exaggerated stereo imaging that headphones typically produce. Based on speaker positioning at 30-degree angles, this adjustable crossfeed mirrors natural speaker stereo imaging, allowing accurate mixing on headphones when speaker monitoring isn’t possible or when you need an alternative monitoring reference.
