Source Audio Vertigo Tremolo

The Vertigo Tremolo unleashes three distinct tremolo engines that capture the essence of vintage amp modulation with modern precision. Normal tremolo recreates the beloved “opto trem” amplitude modulation of classic Blackface Fenders, while Harmonic revives the haunting sway of the early 60s Fender Super’s “Vibrato” effect, ping-ponging between low and high frequency boosts for a swinging phaser-like quality. The Bias tremolo adds swampy character with its overdriven “bias wiggle” reminiscent of early tube bias modulation. The Shape knob allows morphing of the LFO wave from square to sine, opto, or saw tooth patterns.

Beyond its impressive standalone capabilities, the Vertigo connects to Source Audio’s free Neuro Mobile App for iOS and Android devices, unlocking a vast library of progressive tremolo patterns and hybrid modulation effects that upload directly to the pedal. The app provides additional parameters including parametric EQ, wet/dry mix, tap tempo, and stereo separation controls. Full MIDI compatibility comes via the Neuro Hub, supporting up to 128 presets for comprehensive performance control.

Preset Mode saves different settings to each toggle switch position, with parameters instantly jumping to saved values when engaged, regardless of physical knob positions. The pedal integrates with Source Audio expression pedals, the Hot Hand 3 Universal Wireless Effects Controller, and External Tap Tempo switch for synchronised modulation. Beat divisions can be set using the Speed knob for quarter, eighth, triplet, and 16th note timing, making it perfect for keeping tremolo effects locked to your band’s tempo.
