The Ultrawave Multiband Bass Processor redefines what’s possible when you split your bass signal into multiple frequency bands and unleash different overdrive effects on each one. At its heart lies sophisticated multiband processing technology that divides your signal into 1, 2, 3, 4, 8, or 10 discrete frequency bands, each with its own drive and output level controls. This approach creates thick, punchy distortion loaded with unique overtones and dynamic interplay between bands. Choose from an exciting range of overdrive types including Tube, Diode, Foldback distortion (borrowed from the synthesizer world), Octave Up, Negative Flip Diode, and more.
The Ultrawave’s capabilities extend far beyond overdrive through its companion collection of innovative processing blocks, accessible via the free Neuro Desktop Editor or Neuro Mobile App. The dual channel compressor provides studio-level control and can be positioned before or after the drive circuits, while the Multiband Tremolo block offers individual control over each band’s tremolo depth, rate, start time, and LFO wave shape. By adjusting LFO wave shapes and varying tremolo start times across frequency bands, you can create propulsive sounds that rival sequencer or arpeggiator effects.
Advanced features like the Morph function allow smooth transitions between different tones using an external expression pedal, LFO, or envelope follower. The pedal’s stereo capabilities can send different drive effects to each output for a wide stereo field, place effects at multiple points in your signal chain, or generate mesmerising ping-pong tremolo effects. All presets created in the Neuro editors load directly to the pedal and can be saved to your personal cloud-based library or shared with the Neuro Community, making this decade-refined multiband processing technology accessible to bassists ready to explore uncharted sonic territory.
