Classic mode provides the deep, dramatic sweep of vintage flanger circuits, while Thru-Zero (also known as “Tape Flange”) produces that unmistakable twisting effect when dry and modulated signals intersect. The Shadow flanger rounds out the trio with highly resonant yet silky smooth tones and the jet engine “whoosh” that flanger enthusiasts love. An onboard Delay control lets you explore the beautiful cosmic territory between chorus and flanger effects.

The Mercury’s Preset Mode allows you to save different settings to each of the three toggle switch positions. When engaged, all parameters instantly jump to their saved values regardless of physical knob positions. The pedal works seamlessly with Source Audio expression pedals and the Hot Hand 3 Universal Wireless Effects Controller. You can sync your flanger modulation rate with the rest of your band using Source Audio’s External Tap Tempo switch, and set beat divisions including quarter, eighth, triplet, and 16th notes via the Speed knob.

While the Mercury Flanger excels as a standalone unit straight out of the box, the real magic happens when you connect it to the free Neuro Mobile App for iOS and Android. This app essentially gives you access to the effects engines of all three One Series modulation pedals – the Lunar Phaser, Mercury Flanger, and Gemini Chorus. The Neuro Editors provide an extensive collection of chorus, flanger, and phaser engines plus expanded editing parameters. Once you’ve crafted your perfect preset, you can burn it directly to the pedal and access it without needing to reconnect the app.
