Soundcraft Si Expression 3 32-Input Powerful Cost Effective Digital Console

The Soundcraft® Si Expression series represents over a decade of digital audio mixing innovation, combining cutting-edge DSP technology with cost-effective design to create the most powerful console range in Soundcraft’s history. From the ultra-portable 19” rack mount Expression 1 through to the flagship Si Expression 3 with its 30+2 faders and 32 mic/line inputs, each model shares identical feature sets – your choice simply comes down to the number of faders and local mic amps required for your application.

The Expression 3 boasts 32 recallable mic pre amps (16 on Expression 1, 24 on Expression 2) alongside 4 line inputs, 4 internal stereo FX returns, AES input, and a 64x64 expansion slot that provides comprehensive access to all 66 input processing channels. Every input channel includes dedicated processing for high pass filter, input delay, gate, compressor and four band EQ, all managed through an advanced automation system enhanced with four mute groups and FaderGlow™ illumination for intuitive operation in any lighting condition.

The mixing capabilities are equally impressive, with 14 aux/group mixes configurable as 14 mono mixes, 8 mono plus 6 stereo mixes, or various combinations to suit your needs. Four matrix mixes offer mono or stereo operation as required, while four additional mix busses serve the integrated Lexicon FX processors alongside the standard left, right and centre busses. Each bus mix incorporates compressor, 4 band EQ, BSS graphic EQ and delay processing that remains constantly available.

Four stereo Lexicon FX processors based on the MX400 platform provide extensive sound libraries with user-adjustable parameters and dedicated tap-tempo controls. Since these effects run on dedicated hardware, even the most demanding programmes won’t impact other processing functions – all dynamics, EQs, filters, delays and graphic EQs remain fully operational. Built around Soundcraft’s latest generation EMMA™ DSP processor, the same platform that established the reputation of previous Si series consoles, the Expression range combines legendary audio quality with exceptional reliability and flexibility.
