Soundcraft Si Expression 1 16-Input Powerful Cost Effective Digital Console

The Soundcraft® Si Expression series represents over a decade of digital audio mixing innovation, combining cutting-edge DSP technology with cost-effective design to create the most powerful console range in Soundcraft’s history. From the ultra-portable 19” rack-mount Expression 1 through to the flagship Si Expression 3 with its 30+2 faders and 32 mic/line inputs, each model shares identical feature sets – your choice simply comes down to the number of faders and local mic amps required for your application.

Input processing capabilities are comprehensive across the range, with the Si Expression 1 offering 16 recallable mic pre-amps, expanding to 24 on the Expression 2 and 32 on the Expression 3. Additional connectivity includes 4 line inputs, 4 internal stereo FX returns, AES input, and a 64x64 expansion slot that provides access to all 66 input processing channels. Every input channel features dedicated high pass filter, input delay, gate, compressor and four-band EQ processing, all managed through a comprehensive automation system enhanced with four mute groups and FaderGlow™ illumination for intuitive operation.

The mixing architecture offers exceptional flexibility with 14 aux/group mixes configurable as 14 mono mixes, 8 mono plus 6 stereo mixes, or various combinations to suit your needs. Four matrix mixes can operate in mono or stereo configurations, while four additional mix busses serve the integrated Lexicon FX processors alongside the standard left, right and centre busses. Each bus mix includes compressor, 4-band EQ, BSS graphic EQ and delay processing. Output connectivity matches this versatility with 16 balanced line outputs, headphone monitoring, AES output and the 64x64 option slot across all models.

Four stereo Lexicon FX processors based on the MX400 platform provide extensive sound processing with user-adjustable parameters and dedicated tap-tempo controls. These hardware-based effects operate independently without affecting other console processing, ensuring all dynamics, EQs, filters, delays and graphic EQs remain fully available regardless of FX usage.
