Sontronics ST POP Dual-Layer Nylon-Mesh Popshield

Professional vocal recording demands precision, and the Sontronics ST-POP pop filter stands as an indispensable tool for capturing pristine sung and spoken performances. This professional-grade studio accessory features a sophisticated double-layer nylon mesh design that provides superior results compared to traditional metal popshields, offering smoother and less harsh sound characteristics that recording engineers and vocalists rely upon.

The ST-POP’s mesh cartridge excels at significantly reducing the troublesome popping noises created by plosive consonants like ‘p’ and ‘b’, while simultaneously minimising the harshness from sibilant sounds including ‘s’, ‘z’, ‘sh’, and ‘ch’. This comprehensive sound control helps capture optimal vocal performances, and the filter proves equally valuable for managing sound pressure from powerful wind instruments, brass, drums, and guitar amplifiers.

Built with a robust 188mm diameter dual-layer nylon-mesh cartridge housed in a durable plastic frame, the ST-POP features an angled connector attached to an adjustable gooseneck arm. The versatile screw clamp system allows secure mounting to microphone stands of any size or desk edges. Maintenance remains straightforward – simply unscrew the bottom clamp to remove the nylon cartridge for cleaning in warm, soapy water before air drying. A replacement cartridge comes included, ensuring your popshield remains ready for every recording session.
