Sontronics Hyper Hypercardioid Capsule for STC1 (Black)

Expand your recording arsenal with the innovative Hyper and Omni capsules, purpose–built to unlock the full potential of Sontronics' acclaimed STC–1 and STC–1S condenser microphones. These interchangeable capsules work seamlessly with the standard cardioid–equipped pencil condensers, effectively giving you three distinct microphones in one unit — or six different configurations when using the STC–1S stereo pair.

The hypercardioid Hyper capsule excels in situations requiring precise directional pickup, making it perfect for isolating specific sources within complex arrangements. This tighter pickup pattern proves invaluable when recording hi–hat cymbals within a full drum kit or capturing individual violin parts within a string quartet, significantly reducing unwanted spill from surrounding instruments.

For broader recording applications, the omnidirectional Omni capsule shines in overhead and room recording scenarios, as well as ensemble work where you want to capture the natural ambience of the performance space. Meanwhile, the Hyper capsule adds exceptional clarity and definition to solo percussion instruments, particularly hi–hat work, giving you professional–grade versatility that adapts to your specific recording needs.
