The legendary Sonor sound returns with the Vintage Series 14x6.5 Snare Drum in stunning Vintage Silver Glitter, bringing decades of drumming heritage into the modern era. Working closely with artists and collectors, Sonor has meticulously recreated the look, feel and sound of their iconic Teardrop drums whilst incorporating contemporary drum building expertise. This collaboration ensures an instrument that captures vintage authenticity while meeting the demands of today’s professional players.

At the heart of this snare drum lies the distinctive rounded bearing edges that defined the classic SONOR sound before the introduction of 45–degree edges in 1975. These rounded edges produce a characteristically warm tone with rich low–end frequencies and exceptional resonance. The shell construction features 9–ply, 6mm cross–laminated tension–free (CLTF) beechwood, combined with Sonor’s OSM “Optimum Shell Measurement” process for superior sustain and effortless tuning capabilities.

Premium hardware appointments include the redesigned original 2.3mm triple–flanged steel Superprofil hoops from the 1950s, while all lugs feature the patented TuneSafe system to prevent tension rod loosening during performance. The drum comes factory–fitted with Ambassador coated batter and Ambassador snare clear resonant heads, providing an optimal starting point for any musical application.
