This 2U stereo outboard processor combines the detail, warmth and finesse that only genuine analogue circuits can provide, offering the perfect blend of tonal character, weight and spatial enhancement for your mix bus or stereo stems. Building upon SSL's renowned sonic legacy of pristine mic preamps, classic Channel EQ & Dynamics, and the legendary Stereo Bus Compressor, Fusion expands the processing palette with exceptional versatility.

At the heart of Fusion lie five distinct analogue processors that work brilliantly alone or in combination. The Vintage Drive circuit provides unique non-linear harmonic enhancement, with Drive and Density controls that interact to create harmonic saturation and soft compression through analogue circuit overloading. The all-new SSL Violet EQ - the first new SSL analogue EQ circuit in over 25 years - offers minimum phase-shift, two-band shelving with carefully selected frequencies and musical response curves. The HF Compressor targets high frequencies exclusively, providing smooth harshness reduction and tape-like high-frequency roll-off, while the Stereo Image enhancer uses true analogue Mid-Side circuitry for spatial manipulation of the stereo field.

Fusion's workflow-enhancing features demonstrate SSL's commitment to streamlined production processes. The unit includes +/-12dB Input and Output Trim controls, input overload LED, large peak-hold metering, and a front-end 3rd order High Pass Filter with three selectable cut-off frequencies. XLR connections can function either as a Stereo Insert for mix bus processing or switch to Mid-Side mode, enabling separate processing of centre and side signals. The custom-designed SSL Transformer circuit rounds out the feature set, introducing subtle low-frequency saturation alongside high-frequency phase-shift for simultaneous low-end thickening and high-end sparkle.
