Solid State Logic SSL 500 Series E-Series Dynamics Module

Capture the unmistakable sound that defined a generation of hit records with the E Series Dynamics Module, meticulously engineered to recreate the sonic DNA of the legendary SL 4000 E console channel strip from the early 1980s. This 500 Series module brings the authentic character of the original SL 611E Series channel strip directly to your rack, featuring both compressor/limiter and expander/gate sections that have been faithfully reproduced using the same circuitry and key components that made the original so revered.

The engineering excellence continues with a true RMS converter handling side chain duties, while the gain element utilises an all-discrete design that mirrors the Class A VCA chip found in the original unit. What sets this compressor apart are the additional switching options that allow you to defeat the over-easy curve and select a linear release instead of the standard logarithmic curve, giving you three distinct sonic personalities to choose from, each offering its own unique musical character.
