Shure RPW112 Wireless Microphone Head Assembly SM58 Cartridge Housing and Grille

The Shure RPW112 is a replacement cartridge assembly designed to restore or maintain the performance of wireless SM58 handheld transmitters. This assembly includes the legendary SM58 capsule, housing, and matte grille in a single drop-in unit. The SM58 cartridge remains the global standard for live vocal reproduction, delivering tailored frequency response that emphasises vocal presence while controlling proximity effect and handling noise across decades of stage use.

The RPW112 provides a complete front-end replacement for compatible Shure wireless systems, eliminating the need to replace an entire transmitter when the capsule or grille sustains damage. The assembly installs directly into Shure handheld wireless bodies, maintaining the cardioid polar pattern and frequency-contoured vocal response that has made the SM58 the benchmark since its introduction. This housing-and-cartridge design ensures consistent RF shielding and acoustic performance identical to factory specification, preserving both audio quality and wireless transmission integrity.

The SM58 capsule within the RPW112 continues to deliver the midrange presence peak and controlled low-frequency roll-off that define its signature sound. Generations of vocalists have relied on this response curve to cut through dense stage mixes without requiring excessive monitor levels or front-of-house equalisation. The matte grille finish resists fingerprints and stage wear while protecting the capsule from impact and moisture, extending service life in demanding touring and installation environments.
