Slash is synonymous with some of the most legendary riffs and solos in rock & roll. To capture the searing tone that powered his work with Guns N' Roses, Velvet Revolver, and his solo projects, Slash and Seymour Duncan joined forces to develop his signature Slash and Slash 2.0 Humbuckers. Originally built with vintage specifications, both models are now available with modern enhancements for broader compatibility and creative flexibility.

After more than a decade of using his original signature humbuckers on stage and in the studio, Slash wanted a hotter version for his demanding live performances. Across multiple world tours with Guns N' Roses and Slash Featuring Myles Kennedy and The Conspirators, he needed pickups that could push his amplifiers harder while preserving the same unmistakable character and clarity.

Collaborating once again with Seymour Duncan, Slash challenged the team to deliver "the same tonality, same great clarity… but hotter". The resulting Slash 2.0 Set builds upon his renowned APH‐2 pickups with a hotter wind, adding punch, drive, and compression while maintaining that iconic sustain and midrange growl his tone is known for.

Each Slash 2.0 humbucker is hand‐crafted in Santa Barbara using traditional methods, including nickel silver baseplates, maple spacers, paper tape, and wax potting. Modern refinements such as Short Ear (SE) mounting legs and a 4‐conductor cable allow for versatile installation and wiring options including coil‐splitting, phase switching, and series/parallel configurations.
