Crafted to Seth Lover's original specifications, the SH-55 Seth Lover humbucker pickups represent the most faithful recreation of the legendary P.A.F. design available today. These vintage output humbuckers are meticulously hand-built in Santa Barbara using authentic materials and techniques, making them the ideal choice for players seeking to capture that classic rock singing tone in their solid body or semi-hollow guitars.
The neck model achieves remarkable tonal balance through its alnico 2 bar magnet, which smooths the high-end response while the vintage output coils reveal rich harmonic content. This combination produces warm, full low-end paired with sweet treble articulation, giving single notes that perfect singing quality. The un-potted nickel silver cover contributes an almost piano-like tone with distinctive percussive character.
Meanwhile, the bridge model offers warm, airy openness by balancing low-end warmth with smooth yet articulate top-end response. Chords ring with full, open sound while single notes maintain soft articulation. Both pickups feature premium components including specially manufactured 42AWG plain enamel mag wire, 2.5-inch alnico 2 bar magnets, custom machined metal and maple spacers, and nickel silver bottom plates.
Each Seth Lover humbucker is wound on Seymour's original Leesona winding machine from the early Gibson factory in Kalamazoo, Michigan, ensuring that unmistakable vintage tone and feel that made these pickups legendary among guitarists worldwide.
