The Duncan Custom humbucker strikes the perfect balance between vintage warmth and modern aggression, offering what many describe as a "P.A.F.-on-steroids" sound that cuts through any mix. This medium output pickup features a small ceramic magnet and custom-wound coils that produce tight lows, a distinctive upper midrange bump for added character and crunch, plus an airy high end that maintains clarity even under heavy distortion whilst still producing crystal-clear clean tones.

Particularly well-suited to warmer-sounding guitars with prominent midrange characteristics, the Duncan Custom has become a favourite choice for Les Paul and Paul Reed Smith players. It pairs beautifully with Jazz or '59 neck models, and forms one half of the popular '59/Custom Hybrid humbucker combination.

Hand built in the Santa Barbara, CA factory, each Duncan Custom features quality construction including a small ceramic bar magnet, nickel silver bottom plate, and 4-conductor lead wire for versatile wiring options. The pickup is vacuum wax potted to ensure squeal-free performance during high-gain applications.
