The JB Rails pickup revolutionises the legendary Seymour Duncan JB Model by incorporating innovative rail technology that distributes magnetic fields evenly across all strings. This design maintains the classic JB character – that powerful low–end response, crisp highs, and distinctive upper midrange bump that has made it the preferred choice for lead guitarists worldwide. The rail configuration adds enhanced string–to–string balance with improved clarity and sustain, making it particularly suited to modern high–gain playing styles.

Tonal flexibility comes through your choice of volume pot – a 500k pot emphasises the high–end frequencies for cutting lead tones, while a 250k pot provides a mellower, smoother response. The JB Rails pairs exceptionally well with the Jazz Rails neck pickup for a balanced pickup combination across your instrument.

Handcrafted in Seymour Duncan's Santa Barbara factory, each JB Rails features an Alnico 8 bar magnet and 4–conductor lead wire that opens up multiple wiring possibilities including series, parallel, and split coil configurations. Vacuum wax potting ensures squeal–free performance under high–gain conditions, and the pickup is available in both 6–string and 7–string versions to suit your instrument.
