This Alnico 5–powered pickup delivers a full, rich tone with a distinctive scooped midrange that creates an excellent balance between bass and treble frequencies. The even response across the frequency spectrum makes it remarkably versatile, suiting virtually any musical style or playing approach.

For optimal tonal balance, pair the Custom 5 with either the 59 or Jazz neck model humbuckers to create a perfectly matched set. Each pickup is meticulously hand–built in Santa Barbara, California, featuring premium components including an Alnico 5 bar magnet and nickel silver bottom plate. The 4–conductor lead wire provides flexible wiring options, while vacuum wax potting ensures reliable, squeal–free performance under high–gain conditions.
