Born from the demands of six-string players who coveted the extended range magic, the Pegasus humbucker brings progressive metal warmth with sophisticated balance and responsiveness. This pickup incorporates an alnico 5 bar magnet paired with custom winding specifications, creating a harmonically rich tone that features prominent midrange frequencies and focused low-end response.

The Pegasus excels in high-gain situations with its sparkly top end courtesy of a high resonant peak, producing incredible "bloom" on chords while maintaining responsive and accurate pick attack. This ensures excellent cut-through in live mixes and tight-tracking transients for studio work. Its moderate output design makes it equally capable with clean tones as it is with distorted applications.

Hand-built in Seymour Duncan’s Santa Barbara, California factory, each Pegasus features premium construction including an alnico 5 bar magnet, nickel silver bottom plate, and 4-conductor lead wire for versatile wiring options. Vacuum wax potting eliminates unwanted squealing, while availability spans standard 6-string humbucker and Trembucker spacings, plus 7 and 8-string extended range configurations.
