The Seymour Duncan Ryan "Fluff" Bruce FLF Model is a high–output humbucker built by hand in the Custom Shop to deliver aggressive, modern tone. Designed alongside YouTube metal guitarist Ryan "Fluff" Bruce, this bridge pickup combines coil designs from two Seymour Duncan classics—the JB Model and Black Winter—paired with an Alnico 4 bar magnet. The result is a signature voice tuned for punishing drop–tuned rhythms and high–gain applications.
The bridge model measures 16.6k DC resistance with matched trem option at 17.4k, offering the high output needed for saturation and sustain in hard–hitting genres. Alnico 4 magnets deliver a balanced gauss strength that produces a throaty midrange and percussive bite without sacrificing clarity on lead work. The pickup ships with black nickel hardware, matte black bobbins, a matte black logo, short mounting legs, and a 4–conductor shielded cable for flexible wiring options.
The FLF excels at tight, articulate rhythmic playing across extended tunings whilst remaining responsive to volume control for cleaner textures. Rolling down the knob reveals mellow chime and dynamics—critical for players who need one pickup handling everything from crushing power chords to nuanced single–note passages. Hand–built in California with the same precision applied to Seymour Duncan's 45–year legacy, this is the voice behind Dragged Under and Fluff's limited–edition Artist Series StingRay.
