This powerhouse incorporates a massive ceramic magnet and hot coil windings to produce well-balanced tones with rich upper midrange harmonic content, making it ideal for hard-hitting, crunchy rhythms and searing lead work.

The pickup excels at producing tight, percussive riffs while maintaining ultra-clear pick dynamics for fast, immediate lead playing. Originally released as the SH-7 Seymourizer, the Duncan Distortion neck pickup complements the high-output bridge version perfectly, offering enough heat for smooth, fluid solo tones under high gain whilst still producing bell-like clean tones.

Hand built in the Santa Barbara, CA factory, each Duncan Distortion features a large ceramic bar magnet, nickel silver bottom plate, and 4-conductor lead wire for multiple wiring options. The pickup is vacuum wax potted to ensure squeal-free performance during high-gain applications.
