Capture the legendary tone that defined rock history with Seymour Duncan’s Antiquity humbucker pickups, meticulously crafted to recreate the magic of vintage Les Paul guitars. The neck humbucker produces an articulate yet mellow character through its perfectly balanced frequency response, combining soft, sweet treble attack with warm, full-bodied low-end. Custom aged alnico 2 bar magnets create an airy openness in the top-end that gives chords exceptional clarity and articulation, while vintage output coils bring out rich harmonic content that makes single notes sing with beautiful tonal quality.

The bridge humbucker faithfully recreates the open, airy tone of the legendary “P.A.F.” humbuckers that Seth Lover designed in 1955. High notes cut through the mix without excessive brightness, while low notes growl with that distinctive spongy vintage warmth. Seymour Duncan winds the bridge model slightly hotter for improved balance and added warmth, using the same custom hand-ageing process to achieve authentic vintage appearance and sound characteristics.

Built exclusively in Seymour Duncan’s Custom Shop, each Antiquity humbucker undergoes both cosmetic and magnetic ageing to simulate decades of natural wear and playing. The butyrate bobbins are moulded using the same factory equipment that created the original P.A.F. moulds for Gibson, ensuring historical accuracy. Key specifications include specially manufactured 42AWG plain enamel mag-wire, nickel silver cover, 2.5-inch alnico 2 bar magnet, custom machined metal and maple spacers, single conductor push-back braided lead wire, and nickel silver bottom plate with long mounting legs. True to the original Gibson P.A.F. design, these humbuckers remain unwax potted, placing you right at the edge of harmonic breakup for authentic vintage response. Every Antiquity humbucker is wound on Seymour’s original Leesona winding machine from the early Gibson factory in Kalamazoo, MI, ensuring that unmistakable vintage mojo.
