Capture the legendary tone that defined rock history with Seymour Duncan’s Antiquity neck humbucker, meticulously crafted to recreate the magic of vintage Les Paul pickups. This exceptional pickup produces an articulate yet mellow tone through its perfectly balanced frequency response, combining soft, sweet treble attack with warm, full-bodied low-end. The custom aged alnico 2 bar magnet provides airy openness to the top-end, giving chords remarkable clarity and articulation while the vintage output coils reveal rich harmonic content that makes single notes sing with beautiful tonal quality.
Every Antiquity humbucker is hand-built in Seymour Duncan’s Custom Shop and undergoes both cosmetic and magnetic aging processes to simulate decades of natural wear and playing. The butyrate bobbins are moulded using the exact same factory tooling that created the original P.A.F. moulds for Gibson, ensuring authentic vintage construction. Key specifications include specially manufactured 42AWG plain enamel mag-wire, nickel silver cover, 2.5-inch alnico 2 bar magnet, custom machined metal and maple spacers, single conductor push-back braided lead wire, and nickel silver bottom plate with long mounting legs.
Staying faithful to the original Gibson P.A.F. design, these humbuckers remain unwax potted, bringing you right to the edge of harmonic breakup for that coveted vintage character. For authentic vintage mojo, each Antiquity humbucker is wound on Seymour Duncan’s original Leesona winding machine from the early Gibson factory in Kalamazoo, Michigan, ensuring your Les Paul captures that unmistakable vintage sound and appearance.
