These active pickups maintain the massive crunch that made the original Blackouts® legendary, whilst enhancing low–end tightness and refining the top–end for added cut without unwanted harshness.

The alt.metal bridge pickup retains all the energy and output you'd expect from the Blackout® series, but places special emphasis on the percussive quality of palm–muted notes that define modern metal playing. Meanwhile, the neck pickup provides pristine clean tones that develop aggressive mids and increased sustain when pushed through higher gain settings.

Each alt.metal Blackout® set comes complete with all installation hardware required for setup, including pots, hardware, quick–connector cables, capacitor, output jack, battery clip and wire. If your guitar already features active pickups with quick–connector cables, installation is as simple as unplugging the old pickups and connecting your new alt.metals. Available in passive mount for 6–string guitars, plus both passive and active soapbar mount configurations for 7–string models.
