Seymour Duncan Alnico II Pro Staggered APS1 Pickup

Crafted with meticulous attention to vintage authenticity, the Alnico 2 Pro Staggered single coil Stratocaster pickup captures the essence of legendary 1950s Strat tones through hand-ground alnico 2 rod magnets and traditional staggered pole piece configuration. Heavy Formvar magnet wire wound in a special pattern produces that distinctive bouncy character synonymous with the finest Golden Age Stratocaster pickups.

The tonal profile showcases soft and sweet treble attack complemented by slightly scooped midrange frequencies, while the low end maintains that coveted vintage sponginess. Chord work exhibits remarkable smoothness, and single note passages ring with singing, musical clarity that defines classic Stratocaster voice.

Period-correct construction extends beyond the magnet stagger to include waxed and tinned cloth pushback hook-up wires and traditional keyed bottom plate. Hand-filed flatwork bobbins are assembled and lacquered using authentic Golden Age techniques, then wax potted to eliminate unwanted squealing during high-gain applications.
