The Rev2's 8-voice architecture provides exceptional flexibility, allowing musicians to play complex two-handed chord progressions, stack dual 4-voice sounds for rich textural layers, or split the keyboard into two independent 4-voice instruments. The signature sound comes from Curtis 2/4 pole low-pass resonant filters per voice – the same filters that defined classic instruments throughout the 70s and 80s. A standout innovation is the waveshape modulation feature, enabling pulse width variation across all four waveforms (sawtooth, saw+tri, triangle, square) for continuously shifting timbres and enhanced sonic depth.
