Sequential (DSI) Prophet 6 Desktop Analogue Synth

The Dave Smith Instruments Prophet 6 desktop analogue synth brings professional-grade synthesis power to your fingertips in a remarkably portable package. This compact unit houses the same acclaimed analogue signal path and digital effects found in the full-sized Prophet-6 keyboard, making it perfect for musicians who need serious sound design capabilities without the bulk. The poly chain feature allows you to connect two Prophet-6 units together for an impressive 12-voice polyphony setup.

At the heart of this desktop synth are two discrete voltage-controlled oscillators per voice, creating that signature warm and punchy Dave Smith sound. The dual filter system combines a four-pole low-pass filter with a two-pole high-pass filter per voice, giving you extensive tonal shaping options. The built-in effects section provides studio-quality reverb, standard and BBD delays, chorus and phase shifter, all running at 24-bit, 48kHz resolution with true bypass to maintain the fully analogue signal path.

With 500 factory programs and 500 user-rewritable programs on board, you’ll have plenty of sonic territory to explore through the intuitive knob-per-function front panel. The Preset button can be toggled off to hear exactly what the current switch and knob positions are producing, ensuring complete transparency between your physical adjustments and the resulting sound. The stereo distortion effect remains 100-percent analogue, maintaining the unit’s commitment to authentic analogue tone throughout the signal chain.
