Sennheiser MKE 400 Camera-Mount Shotgun Microphone

The MKE 400 brings professional-grade audio capture to your video productions with its compact, super-cardioid shotgun design that cuts through background noise to focus on what matters most. This highly directional microphone utilises an acoustic interference tube to achieve precise audio isolation, making it perfect for vloggers and videographers who demand crystal-clear recordings. Built-in wind protection and integrated shock absorption work together to eliminate handling noise, whilst the included furry windshield provides maximum protection during outdoor shoots.

Versatility sits at the heart of the MKE 400's design, with interchangeable 3.5mm TRS and TRRS locking cables ensuring compatibility across DSLR/mirrorless cameras and mobile devices. The microphone automatically powers on and off when connected to cameras, streamlining your workflow. A three-step sensitivity switch adapts to any recording environment, preventing distortion regardless of sound levels, while the switchable low-cut filter removes problematic low-frequency rumble and wind noise for enhanced speech intelligibility.

Professional monitoring capabilities set the MKE 400 apart, featuring an integrated headphone output with volume control that allows real-time audio monitoring - essential for cameras without headphone jacks. This comprehensive approach to audio capture makes the MKE 400 an indispensable tool for content creators seeking broadcast-quality sound in a portable package. The microphone is also available as part of the MKE 400 Mobile Kit, which includes a Sennheiser Smartphone Clamp and Manfrotto PIXI Mini Tripod for complete mobile recording solutions.
