Sabian NP1916B Paragon 19 Inch China Cymbal Brilliant

This extraordinary 19–inch China cymbal represents Neil Peart's relentless pursuit of the perfect dark, agitated sound that had eluded him until the creation of the Paragon series. The Sabian NP1916B Paragon China Cymbal Brilliant features an extremely thin construction with a very small bell, short steeply angled bow, and wide flanged lip enhanced by aggressive HHX supersized hammering for maximum sensitivity.

The cymbal's response is remarkably open and easy to activate — so responsive that it can be brought to a roar using just a finger. Its sound character is distinctly dark and agitated, producing that dirty tone quality that defines its unique voice in any musical setting.

Handcrafted from pure Sabian B20 bronze, Paragon cymbals combine subtle aesthetics with powerful, dynamic sounds. The series utilises AA style hammering alongside an innovative blend of sound–defining features drawn from the AA, AAX, and HH series, creating cymbals that establish a new relationship between power and musicality while remaining dynamically responsive, highly durable, and effective across a wide range of musical applications.
