Sabian's 22" HHX Redlight Crash merges the dark, complex character of the Artisan line with the clarity and cutting power of AAX. Developed with drummer Todd Sucherman, this B20 cymbal targets recording studios where overhead and close–mic placement demands both tonal depth and high–frequency articulation. The medium–thin weight delivers a buttery, responsive feel without sacrificing projection.
The HHX Redlight combines smoky, rich fundamentals with a crystalline shimmer that cuts through dense mixes. Each of the four available sizes—18", 19", 20", and 22"—is uniquely voiced to interact musically when paired together, revealing new tonal colours across different combinations. The B20 bronze construction and deliberate weight profile produce a smooth attack and controlled decay that suits multi–microphone recording setups where definition matters as much as tone.
