Sabian 18inch Sick Hats Trash/Effect style HiHat Cymbal Pair 218SHN

Designed for Chris Dave, dubbed "the most dangerous drummer alive," the Sabian 18" Sick Hats represent a revolutionary approach to hi–hat design that pushes sonic boundaries into uncharted territory. This Trash/Effect style cymbal pair features the model number 218SHN and showcases Sabian's commitment to creating instruments that serve the most demanding professional drummers.

The construction pairs an 18" Medium–Thin top cymbal with a matching bottom, but it's the multiple two–inch holes punched throughout the top cymbal that sets these hats apart from conventional designs. This unique perforation eliminates air capture entirely, allowing the pure metallic character to shine through without any cushioning effect that traditional hi–hats might produce.

The sonic result is deliberately raw, dark and aggressive – exactly what the name suggests. Without trapped air to soften the attack, players hear nothing but pure metal trash combined with the distinctive roar of the perforated top cymbal, creating a sound profile that's both cutting and characteristically nasty in the best possible way.
