Rycote Classic 15cm Softie Kit w/ Lyre Shock Mount & Pistol Grip (19/22)

Professional audio capture demands equipment that can handle the rigours of real-world recording environments without compromising sound quality. The Softie Lyre Mount combines a patented shock-mount system with a comfortable pistol-grip handle, creating complete isolation from handling noise and cable interference. The innovative Lyre system uses robust, non-elastic components that won't degrade over time like traditional rubber mounts, ensuring reliable performance in demanding broadcast situations.

This versatile mounting solution includes a lightweight pistol grip fitted with a 3/8" thread, making it compatible with standard boom poles for extended reach applications. The soft-feel grip moulding securely holds your microphone in place, preventing any unwanted movement or rotation during recording sessions. The mount's universal design accommodates most popular shotgun microphones used in professional audio production.

The included Softie windshield represents industry-standard wind protection, capable of reducing wind noise by up to 40 dB through its slip-on open-cell foam construction with integrated synthetic fur cover. Manufactured from specialised materials designed specifically for audio applications, the windshield maintains excellent high-frequency response while providing superior wind noise reduction. Advanced assembly techniques and UV-resistant materials ensure the Softie withstands harsh environmental conditions while maintaining its acoustic properties over extended use.
