Roland VAD103 V-Drums Acoustic Design Compact Kit w/ TD07 Module & Shallow-Depth Shells

The VAD103 brings the authentic feel of acoustic drums into the digital realm with its innovative shallow-depth wooden shells and Roland’s acclaimed double-ply mesh heads. As the entry point to Roland’s V-Drums Acoustic Design series, this all-digital kit captures the vibe of a traditional acoustic set while keeping noise levels down through smart air-damping technology in the kick drum. The compact 18-inch kick drum provides that satisfying push when your foot activates the beater, whilst the 12-inch snare and floor tom pads, along with the 10-inch rack tom, offer sizeable playing surfaces that maintain an authentic kit feel without overwhelming smaller spaces.

Since pioneering electronic drum kits in 1997, Roland’s V-Drums have consistently led innovation in the field, setting the standard by which all other electronic drum sets are measured. The VAD103 upholds this tradition with unbeatable durability, precision sensing, and behaviour modelling technology developed over decades of research and development. At its heart lies the TD-07 sound module, featuring 25 ready-to-play drum kits recorded by professional drummers in high-end studios, spanning acoustic, electronic and percussion sounds with the ability to create up to 25 custom kits.

Roland’s double-ply mesh heads remain the gold standard for electronic drums, using two layers of advanced custom material aligned through precise methods for superior rebound, durability, and reduced noise compared to single-layer alternatives. The kit’s VH-10 hi-hat cymbals mount to acoustic stands for an authentic feel, while dedicated 12-inch crash and 13-inch ride cymbals provide satisfying playability. Additional features include Coach mode for technique development and Bluetooth connectivity for drumming along to your favourite tracks streamed from any device.
