This comprehensive upgrade brings hundreds of new kick, snare, hi-hat, tom, and cymbal selections that harness the full potential of Roland's Prismatic Sound Modelling engine. The upgrade includes 70 newly developed preset kits, each carefully crafted by top drummers and recording engineers to sound like acoustic drums mic'd and mixed in a world-class studio. These inspiring kits cover every musical style from traditional jazz to full-throttle metal, all accessible at the touch of a button. The TD-50X Upgrade also provides complete optimisation for the VH-14D digital hi-hat, offering unprecedented touch sensitivity, tonal variation, and open/closed resolution that takes electronic hi-hat performance to an entirely new level.
For producers and recording enthusiasts, the upgrade significantly boosts the TD-50's studio capabilities with support for 32 channels of premium-quality audio transfer over USB�more than triple the original 10 channels. The new PureAcoustic Ambience technology adds stunning realism by placing your kits in natural sound fields ranging from intimate studio spaces to massive concert halls. Additional sound-shaping tools expand the multi-effects selections from 30 to 38, while Roland Cloud integration provides access to an ever-growing collection of premium V-Drums kits and curated samples.
The TD-50X Upgrade also introduces compatibility with Drum Workshop's DWe convertible drum sets through direct USB connection to the DrumLink hub. This integration allows the module to serve as an electronic sound source for DWe kits, providing a hardware-based alternative to computer software solutions and further expanding the versatility of your drumming setup.
