The RD-08 Upgrade transforms your streamlined stage piano into a flagship-grade creative powerhouse through Roland Cloud's exclusive enhancement package. This comprehensive upgrade builds upon the RD-08's factory features by adding the SuperNATURAL Acoustic Piano 3 expansion, Apple MainStage compatibility, Roland Cloud sound expansion capabilities, and enhanced USB functionality for modern music production workflows.

At the heart of this upgrade lies the newly developed SuperNATURAL Acoustic Piano 3, which introduces 15 distinctive piano tones and 20 carefully crafted Scenes to complement the existing SuperNATURAL acoustic grand and electric piano sounds. These range from bright, dynamic tones perfect for live band performances through to darker, more textured sounds ideal for solo work and ambient musical explorations.

The upgrade brings seamless Apple MainStage integration, matching the capabilities found in Roland's RD-2000 and RD-88 models. Musicians can now combine RD sounds with virtual instruments, create performance zones, and remotely control MainStage parameters. Additionally, Wave Expansion support allows you to load sample-based collections from Roland Cloud into two virtual slots, accessing the historic Roland library spanning acoustic and electric pianos, synthesisers, and orchestral instruments.

Enhanced connectivity comes through new USB audio interface capabilities, allowing direct communication with music production software and MainStage during live performances. The RD-08 now functions as both a high-quality MIDI controller and professional audio source for your preferred DAW, streamlining your studio and stage setup.
