Roland's JUNO-X synthesizer brings together four decades of legendary sound design with cutting-edge ZEN-Core technology, offering musicians three iconic JUNO models in one powerful instrument. This remarkable synth combines the authentic vintage character of the JUNO-60 and JUNO-106 with the newly developed JUNO-X model, featuring an enhanced Super Saw waveform, velocity sensitivity, and the new Chorus III effect. Musicians can also access over 900 PCM-based presets from the famous XV-5080 module, expressive RD-series acoustic pianos, and Roland's classic vocoder functionality.
The original JUNO-60 from 1982 and JUNO-106 from 1984 defined the sound of '80s pop and helped birth electronic genres like techno, house, and synthwave. These groundbreaking instruments offered affordable polyphonic synthesis with stable digitally controlled oscillators, rich chorus effects, and user-friendly interfaces that made them instant classics. The JUNO-X faithfully recreates these beloved models while expanding creative possibilities through Model Expansions from Roland Cloud, including authentic versions of the JUPITER-8, JD-800, and the innovative Vocal Designer.
Built with the same intuitive workflow that made the original JUNOs so appealing, the JUNO-X features high-resolution sliders and dedicated buttons for immediate sound creation and manipulation. Musicians can layer up to four tones simultaneously with generous polyphony, store complete setups in 256 Scenes, and choose from seven different chorus effects. The instrument includes both traditional arpeggiator functions and the advanced I-Arpeggio system, which uses intelligent algorithms to create naturally evolving musical patterns that can be exported as MIDI for further development in any DAW.
The JUNO-X combines vintage design elements with modern durability through light-yet-rugged metal construction, featuring an expressive 61-note keyboard with aftertouch and Roland's famous pitch bend/mod lever. Comprehensive connectivity includes balanced and unbalanced audio outputs, stereo audio input, MIDI I/O, mic input, USB audio/MIDI interface, and USB Memory port for data backup. Additional features include onboard stereo speakers, Bluetooth® audio support, Wi-Fi connectivity for Roland Cloud access, and free JUNO-X Editor software for macOS and Windows.
