Roland AE-20 Aerophone Digital Wind Instrument

The Aerophone AE-20 brings professional wind synthesis to musicians in a compact, streamlined package that doesn't compromise on sound quality or expressive control. Built through collaboration with leading wind synth artists, this modern instrument combines the acclaimed playability of the flagship Aerophone Pro with advanced sound engines and premium construction details. The ultra-responsive breath and bite sensors provide immediate musical response, whilst the familiar reed-style mouthpiece ensures natural pitch and vibrato control for players of all backgrounds.

With over 250 sounds at your fingertips, the AE-20 covers everything from authentic soprano, alto, tenor, and baritone saxophones to orchestral strings, world instruments, and cutting-edge synthesizer voices. The SuperNATURAL technology captures every nuance of acoustic instruments with lifelike dynamics and articulations, whilst the advanced ZEN-Core Synthesis Systemthe same engine found in Roland's FANTOM and JUPITER-X keyboardsprovides access to vintage analog and modern digital synth sounds specifically curated for wind instrument performance.

Versatile connectivity options include Bluetooth® audio streaming, USB-MIDI capability, and both headphone and amplifier outputs, making the AE-20 suitable for practice, performance, and studio work. The instrument supports multiple fingering systems including saxophone, clarinet, flute, recorder, and custom configurations, with instant transposition and a five-octave range that removes the limitations of traditional acoustic instruments. Additional support comes through the Aerophone Lesson app for skill development, the Pro Editor for deep sound customisation, and Roland Cloud for expanding your sonic palette with expert-created Sound Packs.
