The VideoMic NTG represents RØDE’s most ambitious on-camera microphone to date, combining broadcast-grade audio performance with compact versatility for content creators. This innovative shotgun microphone incorporates the same annular line tube technology found in the acclaimed NTG5, featuring acoustic perforations along its length rather than traditional linear slots. This revolutionary design produces remarkably transparent, natural sound reproduction without colouration.

The microphone’s technical specifications are impressive, boasting an exceptionally flat frequency response, highly directional supercardioid polar pattern, and minimal self-noise characteristics. These features combine to create a compact on-camera solution that rivals the performance of professional shotgun microphones used in broadcast applications.

The included WS-Chroma windshield set provides two foam shields in blue and green specifically designed for chroma key applications. These coloured windshields allow the microphone to be positioned closer to talent within the frame for optimal audio capture, while chroma key compositing techniques can subsequently remove the microphone from the final image during post-production.
