Output impedance has been dramatically reduced from 2 ohms to just 0.1 ohms on the 3.5mm connection, ensuring optimal headphone matching across all impedance ranges.

Professional recording capabilities centre around two digitally controlled preamps offering 76dB of gain range in 1dB increments, complete with individually switchable 48V phantom power and relay-driven PAD circuitry. The space-saving integrated XLR sockets provide exceptional EIN performance and line overload protection, handling everything from the most sensitive ribbon microphones to high-output condensers. Jack inputs 3 and 4 accommodate instruments and line sources directly, making guitar recording possible without additional hardware.

The interface operates reliably on USB bus power alone, supporting up to 12 inputs and 12 outputs at 192kHz through its ADAT/SPDIF optical connection with SMUX support. RME's SteadyClock FS technology, borrowed from the ADI-2 Pro FS, ensures minimal jitter and maximum jitter immunity across all clock modes, whilst TotalMix FX provides comprehensive routing and mixing capabilities for both studio and live applications.
