RME Advanced Remote Control ARC USB For UFX+, UFX II & TotalMix FX devices

The ARC USB remote control puts TotalMix FX's most essential functions right at your fingertips, streamlining studio workflow with direct access to frequently used commands and actions. This USB 1.1 MIDI controller integrates seamlessly with both Windows and Mac OS X systems, automatically detected by TotalMix FX without interfering with other remote controls or requiring manual activation. Its compatibility extends across all RME audio interfaces supported by TotalMix FX, reaching back to models released in 2001, making it a versatile addition to any RME-based setup.

The device operates as a bus-powered unit with minimal current draw, taking advantage of USB 1.1's lower frequency demands for reliable operation even with longer cable runs. Standard USB 2 cables work perfectly at lengths of 5-10 metres, while active USB extension cables enable operation beyond 20 metres when needed. For UFX+ and UFX II users, direct connection to the interface itself is possible thanks to the built-in USB 1.1 host, providing convenient standalone operation without a computer connection.

Configuration happens entirely through TotalMix FX's Key Commands dialogue, with all settings stored within Workspaces rather than on the device itself. The ARC USB can simultaneously control multiple interfaces, automatically switching context based on the currently selected audio interface in TotalMix FX. With over 36 different commands assignable to its 15 keys, each button's behaviour can be customised between push, toggle, enable and disable modes depending on the specific function required.
