Remo Controlled Sound 16inch Coated Black Dot Drumhead

The Remo Controlled Sound 16" Coated with Black Dot represents the perfect marriage of tonal control and rugged construction for serious drummers. This drumhead combines a 1‐ply 10‐mil coated film with a strategically placed 5‐mil Bottom Black Dot™, creating a unique hybrid that offers both medium and heavy‐duty performance characteristics in one package.

Engineered specifically for snare drum applications, the Controlled Sound® design focuses midrange frequencies while maintaining excellent sensitivity across the outer playing surface. The centre dot serves a dual purpose ‐ providing enhanced durability for aggressive playing styles whilst simultaneously controlling unwanted overtones that can muddy your sound.

This construction approach allows drummers to enjoy the enhanced tone and responsiveness of the outer area, while the Bottom Black Dot™ technology ensures consistent performance under demanding conditions. The coated surface adds warmth and reduces unwanted ring, making it an ideal choice for studio work and live performance where tonal precision matters.
