Radial Catapult TX Cat 5 Rack w/ 12 Balanced XLR Inputs

The Radial Catapult Rack TX and RX revolutionise audio routing by turning standard Cat 5 Ethernet cable into a professional multi–channel audio snake system. These innovative units function like traditional analog audio snakes, transmitting mic or line–level signals from one location to another without signal loss, noise, or interference – all without requiring any digital audio conversion. The system’s brilliance lies in its use of widely available, lightweight, and economical Cat 5 Ethernet cable, where a single shielded cable carries four channels of balanced audio to any destination equipped with a Radial Catapult module.

Each Catapult Rack unit operates as three modules within a single chassis, with the 12 XLRs divided into three banks of four channels each. Every bank features its own noise–eliminating ground lift switch and dedicated RJ45 Ethernet jack on the rear panel. This configuration allows you to connect all 12 channels to one location using three Ethernet cables, or split them across multiple Radial Catapult stage boxes for a fully customisable audio snake system that can serve multiple destinations simultaneously, with transformer isolation available where required.

Built for demanding professional touring environments, the Catapult Rack units feature robust Neutrik etherCON RJ45 connectors with protective metal shells that prevent accidental disconnection and protect the RJ45 plugs from damage. The reversible rack ears can be mounted on either side of the chassis, allowing you to position either the XLRs or Ethernet connections facing outward as needed. Since these modules require no power and maintain signals in the analog domain, they provide straight–wire connection from each XLR bank to the Cat 5 cable without any coloration or distortion.

All Radial Catapult modules are sold individually and fully compatible with each other, allowing you to select the perfect combination for your specific requirements. The modular system ranges from compact 4–channel solutions using Catapult Mini units to comprehensive rack–based setups where each 1RU Catapult Rack essentially functions as three 4–channel modules. This flexibility makes it possible to customise your stage or recording studio setup for virtually any application, from simple point–to–point connections to complex multi–destination routing systems.
