A 26.5-inch scale length gives the PRS Tekton SVN 7 String Electric Guitar the string tension and low-end clarity that extended-range playing demands. It is the first seven-string in the American-made PRS catalogue, built on the same thin-bodied Tekton platform as the six-string models. A figured mango top sits over a mahogany back with a shallow violin carve and an upper-fret scoop, keeping weight down and access to the top of the neck comfortable.
PRS Stylus SVN pickups were developed specifically for the Tekton family. Alnico 5 magnets and a lower output than many genre-focused pickups favour articulation, so definition holds across the frequency range even under high gain, whether the signal feeds a tube amp, a modelling rig or a recording setup. Split sounds stay usable in every position. The Modern “D” SVN neck has stainless steel frets and a 16-inch radius ebony fingerboard with offset dot inlays, suiting complex voicings and precise lead work.
The hardtail bridge uses individual saddles for intonation, with a string-through design for added resonance and sustain. Phase III locking tuners keep tuning steady, and the guitar ships strung with PRS Signature 10–59 strings. The neck measures 1 29/32-inch at the nut and 2⅝-inch at the body. This Violet Tourmaline model comes with a PRS Premium gig bag.
