A 26.5-inch scale length gives the PRS Tekton SVN extra string tension and low-end clarity on the low B, and it is the first seven-string in the American-made PRS catalogue. The thin-bodied Tekton platform keeps weight down, with a figured mango top over a mahogany back, a shallow violin carve and an upper-fret scoop for easy access. The Modern “D” SVN neck and stainless steel frets suit complex voicings and precise lead work.
PRS Stylus SVN humbuckers were developed specifically for the Tekton family. Alnico 5 magnets and a lower output than some genre-focused pickups favour clarity, so definition holds across the frequency range under high gain, into a tube amp, a modelling system or a recording rig. Split sounds stay usable in every position. The 16-inch radius ebony fingerboard carries offset dot inlays, and the neck measures 1 29/32-inch at the nut and 2⅝-inch at the body.
The hardtail bridge has individual saddles for intonation, and the string-through design adds resonance and sustain. Phase III locking tuners keep tuning steady, and the guitar ships strung with PRS Signature 10–59 strings. Slate Blue is shown here, with Imperial Topaz, Black Tourmaline, Violet Tourmaline, Bloodstone Red and Fuchsia Aura also in the range. A PRS Premium gig bag is included.
