A 26.5-inch scale length gives the PRS Tekton SVN extra string tension where a seven-string needs it most, keeping the low B tight and clear. It is the first seven-string in the American-made PRS catalogue, built on the thin-bodied Tekton platform with a figured mango top, mahogany back and shallow violin carve. An upper-fret scoop keeps the high register reachable, and the Imperial Topaz finish comes with a PRS Premium gig bag.
PRS Stylus SVN pickups were voiced for this guitar family, with Alnico 5 magnets and a lower output than many genre-focused humbuckers. The result is definition across the frequency range, including under high gain, into a tube amp, modeller or audio interface. Split sounds stay usable in every position. The scarfed maple neck has a Modern “D” SVN profile, 24 stainless steel frets and a 16-inch radius ebony fingerboard, measuring 1 29/32-inch at the nut and 2⅝-inch at the body.
Hardware is a PRS seven-string hardtail with individual saddles for intonation and a string-through design for added resonance and sustain. Phase III locking tuners keep tuning steady through hard picking and bends, and the guitar ships strung with PRS Signature 10–59 sets. Offset dot inlays and blue Luminlay side dots help with navigation on dark stages, while the satin nitro neck finish keeps fast legato and extended-range runs smooth.
